OEM custom profiles represent the ultimate expression of aluminum extrusion versatility: unlimited geometries designed specifically for the customer's application. The process begins with analysis of the profile drawing or 3D model, followed by optimal alloy selection (6063 for extrudability and finish, 6061 for strength, 6005 for intermediate balance, 6082 for maximum strength per European standards), extrusion die design and fabrication, dimensional and mechanical property testing, and finally series production. Transformación Puebla participates as a strategic metallurgical supplier in this process: our extrusion bars are specifically formulated for the alloy and temper required by each OEM project, optimizing chemical composition within standard ranges to favor extrudability of the customer's specific geometry. This allows the extruder to produce complex profiles with lower extrusion pressures, better surface finish, and longer die life.
