Silicio 1502
Maximum available purity. For primary alloys with extremely low trace requirements.
Silicon 1502 is our highest purity grade with Fe ≤ 0.15 %, Al ≤ 0.05 %, and Ca ≤ 0.02 %, achieving Si ≥ 99.6 %. The 1502 nomenclature indicates: 15 = 0.15 % Fe, 02 = 0.02 % Ca (with Al ≤ 0.05 %). It is the grade selected for ultra-high-purity alloys where every hundredth of a percent of impurity matters, such as in aerospace applications and premium wheel alloys with T6 heat treatment.

Metallurgical Function
Maximum silicon purity for alloys where every fraction of impurity directly affects mechanical properties, heat treatment response, and fatigue life.
Dosage & Usage
Exclusively for production with P0610 or higher primary aluminum. Dosage calculated to maintain total impurity balance within specification.
Applications
- Aerospace alloys with ultra-low traces
- Premium A356.2 for T6 heat-treated wheels
- High-specification primary alloys
Industries
Aerospace
Certified alloys with maximum trace control
Premium Automotive
Forged aluminum wheels and high-integrity T6 components
Special Notes
Available on order with lead times depending on supplier availability. For most secondary casting applications, grades 3303 or 5505 offer a better cost-benefit balance.
