Silicon 3303 is an intermediate grade with controlled impurities (Fe ≤ 0.3 %, Al ≤ 0.3 %, Ca ≤ 0.03 %) offering an excellent balance between purity and cost. The 3303 nomenclature indicates: 33 = 0.3 % Fe + 0.3 % Al, 03 = 0.03 % Ca. It is the preferred choice for A356 (AlSi7Mg) alloys where iron content must be kept low for good mechanical properties, and for alloys with intermediate purity specifications. We maintain permanent inventory with very competitive pricing.

Metallurgical Function
Raise silicon content while keeping iron and residual aluminum contribution low. Preferred when the final alloy requires low Fe for better mechanical properties (ductility, fatigue resistance).
Dosage & Usage
Same as other silicon grades, dosed according to target alloy. The 3303 advantage is its lower Fe contribution to the melt, enabling alloys with Fe ≤ 0.15 % when using primary aluminum as the base.
